Spino d’Adda – Farewell to Erno Bombelli “/>
The doctor Erno Bombelli
Spino, November 23, 2024
(Gianluca Maestri) Farewell to the doctor Erno Bombelli, a true institution for Spino. Born on 5 February 1951, he graduated in medicine and surgery at the University of Pavia in 1978, the year in which he became a general practitioner in the town. He was also a sports doctor and was the first vice president of the Us Spinese Oratorio.
In February 2021 Bombelli, against his will, retired but some time later returned to service, remaining there until the end of the year, to replace his colleague Tiziana Divino who had taken his place.
“In 2022 – says the mayor of Spino Enzo Galbiati – like the other general practitioners in the town, he was awarded the title of Spinese of the Year for his commitment during the Covid 19 pandemic. The most heartfelt condolences and the closeness of the entire community in this sad situation
moment.”
Doctor Bombelli’s body will arrive today at the Spino funeral home and the funeral will be celebrated on Monday, again in Spino, at 2.30 pm.
Meanwhile, the first messages of condolence appear on social networks. La Spinese, on its Facebook page, publishes an old photo of Bombelli with other historic managers of the rossoblù club and remembers him like this: “Hi Erno….you were a pillar in the first years of activity of our club, the first deputy president, the club doctor; in these fifty years when there was a need you were always there.” The ASD Sant’Angelo 1907 also mourns his passing via Facebook. Bombelli was in fact the team doctor of the Rossoneri club for many years.
**How did Dr. Bombelli’s dedication to Spino extend beyond his medical practice, ultimately earning him the title of “Spinese of the Year”?**
