Mexico City. With a first purchase of “solidarity consumption”, the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco-Servytur) kicked off the most important commercial festival in the country, known as El Buen Fin.
In a hardware store located in Tepic, Nayarit, Octavio de la Torre de Stéffano, leader of the private sector organization, in the company of César Octavio Lara, Secretary of Economy of Nayarit, made the first official purchase of the fourteenth edition of the reactivation program .
The ceremony was distinguished by the acquisition of domestic equipment that will be donated to low-income Mexican households, but also because the governor of the federal entity, Miguel Ángel Navarro, was not present, as he had to attend to family issues.
De la Torre de Stéffano commented that all the presidents of the Kanaks will make a solidarity consumption purchase, that is, in order to donate it to the population with fewer resources during this end-of-year season.
He recalled that Concanaco committed to the government of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo to support, through Buen Fin, the achievement of the country’s development objectives.
The private sector leader pointed out that the tertiary sector, which is made up of commerce, services and tourism, represents 66 percent of the Mexican economy, generates seven out of every 10 jobs, generates more than 66 percent of the income tax it collects. the government and more than 77 percent of the direct value added tax.
Unlike other editions, representatives from the Ministry of Economy (SE), Tourism (Sectur), the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco), or the Tax Administration Service (SAT) did not attend the first purchase. It is also the third time that it has not started in Mexico City.
The SE expects that the sales goal will be greater than 150 billion pesos, while Concanaco 165 billion pesos.
