GURGL. American skier Mikaela Shiffrin to become the winner of the slalom in the Austrian resort of Gurgl.
The American has already achieved her 99th victory in her career, so Jubilee’s hundredth World Cup trophy is already close at hand.
Surprisingly, only 18-year-old Lara Colturiová, who was number 27, finished second. After the first round, she was surprisingly in 4th place, and in the second round she even improved on.
For Colturi, who is Italian but represents Albania, this is the most valuable result of her career so far.

Shiffrin followed her victory from Levi of Finland. She already created a good position in the opening round, after which she led with a lead of 13 hundredths ahead of Wendy Holdenerová from Switzerland.

She confirmed her good start to the season in the second race and was the first winner in the Austrian resort, the first time on the World Cup calendar.
“I was very nervous before my trip. I heard that when my competitors reached the finish line, the crowd was cheering and clapping. It meant that they had really good trips. Satisfied, it’s a beautiful day,” Shiffrin told a FIS reporter after the race.
The American, who is 29, can reach the magical hundred next week on home soil in Killington.
“I try to ignore it, if it happens, it will be wonderful, if it doesn’t, I won’t cry. on,” said the surprised American.
Colturiová was in fourth place after the first round. With a confident ride in the second round, she improved her position even more and achieved the best result of her career.
The Scots’ best talent record so far was ninth in January’s slalom in Flachau.
Slovak woman Petra Vlhova she lost first, because she is still recovering from her injured knee. She would like to return to the mountains in December.
