The end of the last, fourth international break this year has come. We won’t see the next one until March next year. I will not hide the fact that I am very happy about this fact, because the Nations League matches were boring for me as a fan, and quite unpredictable for me as a bettor. Therefore, to celebrate the fact that club competitions will finally be able to continue undisturbed, I have prepared two coupons for today, one for La Liga and the other for the Premier League, leagues that are definitely one of my favorites. I invite you to read my analysis and use the courses!
Las Palmas – Mallorca | 18:30
A clash of teams whose home cities have two associations. On the one hand, they have been a beloved travel destination for every all-inclusive enthusiast for years, which is confirmed by the fact that both were places where the Polish sitcom “Vacation Diaries” was filmed. Unfortunately, La Liga clubs do not share the enthusiasm for visits to these places, because matches at Estadio Gran Canaria and Iberostar can be troublesome even for the giants. It’s hard to say what this means, perhaps it’s a mix of the long trip to the islands, the tourist buzz and a slightly warmer climate. How will the head-to-head clash, which I dare call “El Turistico” play out?
Las Palmas is bravely trying to fight for relegation this season, because with 12 points they are 17th in the table, just above the relegation zone. I consider them the most electric and unpredictable team in the Spanish league, because one day they can upset Real Madrid or Bilbao, who are great this season, and give the initiative to Leganes in another match. Their matches are certainly not boring – 16 goals scored and 22 conceded in 13 matches show that, despite the lack of tools, they try to play very offensively.
Mallorca, on the other hand, is doing very well, ranking 9th in the LL, only three points behind Osasuna. Unlike today’s rivals, however, they focus on defense – the goal balance is 10:10. Interestingly, in contrast to previous seasons, this year, paradoxically, they score much better away from home – they took 9 points from foreign stadiums in six games.
What to bet on?
Bookmakers expect an extremely close match, the odds on 1, X and 2 are almost equal and close to 3.0. I don’t dare to predict the winner in this match, that’s why I’ll bet on a Las Palmas goal. As I mentioned earlier, they like to play offensively, and are especially bold in their own stronghold. They have scored in every home match this season, apart from the one against Celta Vigo. Mallorca, on the other hand, although strong in defense, usually ends away matches with a goal in the back – a type covered in 5/6 matches this season. I’m counting on a repeat.

Las Palmas over 0.5 goals
Celta Vigo – FC Barcelona | 21:00
Las Palmas was just mentioned as a team that prefers the kamikaze style. The same can be said about Celta Vigo this season, whose matches can also usually provide a lot of entertainment. Unlike the team from Gran Canaria, however, they have a slightly higher offensive caliber, so their 20 goals scored are a good counterweight to the 22 lost and they occupy a stable and characteristic place in the middle of the table over the seasons.eli.
FC Barcelona, on the other hand, after the last blunder against Real Sociedad, which was a mixture of poor play and referee embarrassment in the situation with the “ghost” Lewandowski offside, must pick itself up and go on another difficult trip. Hansi Flick had a lot of time to think and plan the game. His players, however, rested well, using back pain and other more or less real injuries as an excuse to use the break for training camps for regeneration purposes..
I also invite you to check out other picks for today, especially when it comes to football. We also offer a summary of the wide offer of legal Polish bookmakers.
What to bet on?
I’ll bet on a goal or an assist for Iago Aspas. Despite his age, the Spaniard is still the heart, soul and lungs of Celta Vigo. This season he already has 4 goals and 3 assists. He plays in a position right behind the typical number 9, which is usually Borja Iglesias. Occupying such a position on the pitch means that on a good day, every action goes through him, and he has plenty of opportunities to take a shot and make a key pass during the match. Barcelona is a rival he likes – in the last 3/5 matches he matched my prediction. I think that the old-timer can deceive Barcelona’s high-playing offside defense and influence the result. Iago Aspas will score or assist
Manchester City – Tottenham | 18:30
A clash of two teams that have fallen into a huge hole recently. Manchester City lost the last 4 matches, thus creating an inglorious record for their coach Pep Guardiola, who has never had such a streak in his career so far. Rodri’s absence has a huge impact on the team. The rest of the midfielders, led by the prodigal son Gundogan, are absolutely out of shape, and the defense without the Ballon d’Or winner tightening their lines cannot cope with the opponents’ attacks. The inglorious series began in the match against Tottenham, will it end there?
Ange Postecoglou’s team is probably the most aggressive team in the Premier League. The words of the Australian coach about always winning something in his second season may age very badly, because with such a lack of regular form it is impossible to win trophies. The West Ham and Aston Villa rout looks great, but fades in the face of the Ipswich and Crystal Palace blunders. The question is what kind of Tottenham will we see today?
What to bet on?
I bet that both teams will score at least 2 goals. I have been following the matches of these two teams since I started my adventure with football and in recent years I have noticed quite an interesting trend. Namely, Tottenham’s stadium is where the matches are usually rough, ending with a quiet victory for Spurs or occasionally Man City. However, the matches at the Etihad are the most spectacular matches you can see in the English league. Corners, cards, counter-attacks, dribbling and, above all, goals. The results of the last three direct matches at the Cityzens stadium are: 3:3, 4:2, 2:3. Looking at how unstable both teams are defensively, I think that the offensive quality can come to the surface again and we will witness a great match.
Jakub
Both teams will score over 1.5 goals
Below are my two coupons for today:
