/ world today news/ Yunal Tasim’s comment on “Every Day”
I hope it doesn’t sound like a cigarette ad, but these are the facts. I have a feeling. that this is a war from 5-6 years ago between the big cigarette manufacturers and it seems that those who are sniffing because they produce lower quality tobaccos – large leaf tobaccos. It is they who dominate the big manufacturers of fine cigarettes in the world, such as “Philip Morris”. So we may become victims of a war between the largest in the world, which have a turnover greater than the gross domestic product of our country. Logical. is to have a lobby everywhere, including in Brussels. But the producers of flavored cigarettes should also have a lobby. Our drama is that they are trying to displace such producers from the market, i.e. the southern countries. But Oriental tobacco is the basis of all cigarettes in the world, and therefore it is very strange to me how there can be cigarettes without such aromatic additives. Years ago, this type of tobacco was the basis of cigarettes, but now it has become the reverse – our best tobaccos have become only for flavoring and addition to inferior cigarettes. The pressure to eliminate oriental tobacco comes from the big cigarette manufacturers. They do not want to be dependent on oriental tobacco, which is used to flavor the tobacco product as it is more expensive than other mainstream varieties. Therefore, buying oriental tobaccos and putting them in cigarettes raises the final price of the product. If, on the other hand, the demand that cigarettes be sold in identical packages without inscriptions of the company that markets them is accepted, the manufacturers in our country will encounter great difficulties. I say again, the question is commercial, not health.
