Benjamin, candidate for “Best Pastry Chef” season 13, had a memorable fall in the show broadcast on November 21, 2024 on M6.
TELEVISION – More fear than harm. And a lot of laughter, at least among the viewers. The candidate of Best pastry chef Benjamin had a memorable fall on the set of the show in the episode broadcast this Thursday, November 21 on M6 while he was in the middle of a sprint to pass his test.
This week’s theme was “greedy illusion”. Firstly, the candidates had to reproduce an object that was under the tent: saucepan, paper towel, box of eggs… It was Tsiory and José who stood out and were named top by the jury.
But the fall which ended in a real cascade took place during the second challenge launched by Mercotte and Cyril Lignac to the amateur pastry chefs. They were responsible for reproducing the cake of Kevin Ollivier, bronze medalist at the Trompe-l’oeil World Cup. The latter was also under the tent of Best pastry chef to provide his best advice.
“I slipped and it rolled away”
As is often the case, candidates run everywhere to waste as little time as possible. Except that less than an hour from the end of this technical test, the ex-soldier from Le Havre ended up tripping on the ground. You can see his fall above which ends in a roll.
“I slipped and it rolled away”explained the candidate a little annoyed. When a competitor asked him if everything was okay, he replied: ” How are you ! » Internet users who are fans of the program admitted to laughing a lot when they saw the fall, as you can see in the messages published on social networks and selected below.
Despite his fall, Benjamin came second in this event just behind Timothée. For the third and final challenge of the day, the candidates had to reproduce fruits in trompe l’oeil. To win a golden cupcake, you had to beat guest chef Thibaut Lefils, finalist from the previous season. Benjamin still had a difficult time and was on the verge of giving up, but that was without taking into account the solidarity of the other candidates who helped him briefly to make his cake.
In the end, no one managed to beat Thibaut Lefils’ grenade, but Laurène, who was the closest, was entitled to the reward. This week, the blue apron was given to Tsiori. On the other hand, it was Romain, who came last in the second event, who was eliminated.
