What do home office, watching Netflix and ordering various items from Amazon have in common? A stable internet connection is necessary for all of these activities. To ensure that the municipality of Pfronstetten is prepared for all future requirements, the administration has brought its partner, the BLS broadband company, an association of 42 municipalities and special-purpose associations based in Sigmaringen, on board. By the time it is expected to go into operation in the fourth quarter of 2028, the FTTB expansion – i.e. fiber optics to the building – will be implemented on site. The BLS acts as a funding applicant and client for the planning offices and construction companies.
