[서울=뉴스핌] Reporter Song Eun-jeong = While KCC continues to communicate emotionally with its members through various cultural events, it has become a hot topic by holding a barista experience event for members of its headquarters in Seocho-dong.
This is the season when a cup of warm coffee comes to mind. Members of the KCC Seocho office building who attended through pre-registration received barista experience, learning basic coffee theories, learning how to brew using a drip device, and creating home cafe menus using hand drip. I had time to expand my understanding of coffee. In particular, the time spent sharing coffee brewed from various beans and savoring its delicious aroma and taste provided opportunities for exchange and friendship among members as well as healing.
This experiential event, which was held as part of the KCC (Knocking Culture Communication) program, which means ‘knocking on the door of communication through culture,’ was a time to escape from repetitive daily life and work and provide a unique experience through coffee. This experiential event was held on a first-come, first-served basis through the company’s bulletin board, but it attracted so much interest and popularity from members that not many applicants were able to participate.
This year, KCC is continuing its program to provide healing and relaxation to its members by providing them with opportunities to experience various cultures that can be enjoyed with all five senses. In fact, KCC held an orchestra concert in the lobby of its Seocho-dong office building and received a great response from members, so it also held a piano concert in which members and their families participated directly. In addition, various cultural events have been held, such as an exhibition of artworks drawn by artists with KCC paints and an exhibition of vacation photos taken by members themselves.
A KCC official said, “This barista experience was designed to provide time to recharge while enjoying a cup of coffee even in daily life, and the response from employees was very high.” He added, “We will continue to provide not only coffee education but also small pleasures for employees.” “We will plan various activities to expand opportunities for participation at workplaces across the country,” he said.
As members’ positive evaluations of the cultural experience event continue, KCC plans to hold unique cultural events that members are interested in in the future, while expanding to business sites nationwide to continue emotional communication with internal members.
