Bruck athletes celebrate a series of successes at the integration tournament
Six gold times: The eight Bruck boxers were able to achieve this impressive result after the BC Piccolo medal integration tournament in the Jahnhalle in Bruck.
The Bruck series of successes began with a spectacular knockout victory by Lukas Simeunic in the men’s cruiserweight division. His opponent Lukas Hain (BC Wallersdorf) only knew the way forward, but his wild actions lacked precision. Simeunic remained unimpressed and caught his opponent in the final round with a left hook to the chin that marked the end of the fight. The fight in the women’s welterweight division was completely different. The Bavarian champion Paula Deuble scored a few more hits in each round against Oriane Agbovon (BSV Mariposa Munich) and deservedly won on points.
Ferhat Tarik from Bruck celebrated a successful debut in the junior middleweight division, winning on points with a furious finish against Rinor Fejza (BG Mekong Neu Ulm). Head coach Katinka Semrau was also more than satisfied with the performance of her protégé Seror Saalem in the U19 welterweight division. The Brucker convinced Ramatullah Shinwari (DJK Bavaria Rosenheim), who was counted up to “eight” in the final round, with his better boxing line and won clearly.
With three gold medals, the Innsbruck Boxing Club was the best guest club. Tyrolean team boss Mohammad Naderi was particularly pleased with the performance of his 18-year-old super talent Shinasi Aliev, the Austrian national cruiserweight champion. Thanks to his sophisticated technique, Aliev was able to parry most of the attacks from Bruck’s local hero Edward Lutumba and prevail on points. In the junior lightweight division, Innsbruck’s Ahmed Yassin Abudlwahab also won on points against the well-performing piccolo boxer Nino Raitz.
