(ANSA) – BARI, NOV 20 – Pierpaolo Morciano, the 26-year-old from Alessano who died on Sunday evening while celebrating his birthday in the street with some friends, would have died – according to the investigators’ reconstruction – after inhaling the so-called laughter drug, namely nitrous of nitrogen loaded into a balloon. But he also had health problems, explains Domenico Carluccio to the Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno who, the newspaper highlights, has been Pierpaolo’s mother’s partner for ten years. “For next month – says Carluccio – we had booked an adenoid biopsy in the hospital, we had been carrying out tests for six months now because after finishing eating Pierpaolo was having trouble breathing, he was using the spray on the market in the pharmacy to unblock his airways. He was also a stout, overweight boy. We want to understand, to know.” “Pierpaolo – he continues – had purchased a spray can, one of those used to clean the crevices of the PC, a small box of miniccioli and some balloons, from a shop in the village. He had a receipt for 13 euros or so. I know this. And I they say that now the cans have disappeared from that shop, but the police are investigating and it’s not my job to say that he was on drugs.” Carluccio underlines that “if it ever comes out that our boy was using strange substances then we will say it. Not only that. We will try to put ourselves at the service of those who have similar problems so that it doesn’t happen again. Because, by losing him, we have lost everything”. Now, he adds, “we ran away from home, we are in a protected area helped by the church. We were under siege, journalists, onlookers, acquaintances, lots of people. Our Pierpaolo brought joy and happiness, when he played music the house filled with life yet he was a boy who had suffered a lot, since he was little.” Carluccio remembers that his mother “raised him alone, as a single mother, giving him her surname. From here one can already understand how much Pierpaolo had suffered from an early age, and how much his mother protected him”. The autopsy on Pierpaolo’s body will be performed today. (HANDLE).
