On October 23, 2024, the football division of ASV Au invited people to the annual general meeting in the clubhouse. Division manager Stefan Sollinger opened the event, which offered a look back at an eventful year and provided an outlook on exciting projects and challenges.
The year 2024 was characterized by a wide range of activities and sporting events. In addition to the traditional carnival threesome and the organization of the Erdinger Meistercup of the BFV, the club was also active at the Pike Brothers Summer Festival and the Wendelstein Tour, among other things. In terms of sport, the season was unfortunately mixed: the first men’s team had to accept relegation to the district class, and for the first time in 14 years no third team could be fielded for the 2024/25 season.
On the other hand, the newly founded women’s team with Parsberg is developing positively, and the club is also excellently positioned in the youth sector: 14 youth teams and a Bambini group represent a record number.
A lot has also been achieved off the field. With the construction of a new hut for training material, for which Tobias Heiß was largely responsible, and the purchase of a new lawn mower, the infrastructure was significantly improved. A big thank you goes to all the volunteers and donors who made this possible.
The membership development continues to show a positive balance, with a total of 492 active footballers in the club. Financially, the division is also on stable footing and closed the 2023/24 financial year with a significant surplus.
As part of the new elections, all positions were filled unanimously. Stefan Sollinger remains the first division manager, supported by Franz-Xaver Pelz and Josef Rauscher. There is a big change in the youth sector, where the previous youth leader Peter Menhofer Jr. after many years of service, he no longer stood for election. After a unanimous vote, he will be succeeded by Christian Kaffl, who will initially be supported by his predecessor. By establishing a youth committee, the diverse tasks in the youth sector will be distributed across several shoulders in the future.
There are some highlights in the event calendar in the coming months. The Bockpaschen in November, the Christmas party, the traditional Christmas tree auction on December 26th and the New Year’s Eve game promise sociable moments. From January 24th to 26th, 2025, the annual youth indoor tournament will take place again in the Bad Feilnbach school gym.
Stefan Sollinger concluded the event with a positive look into the future, for which ASV Au sees itself well positioned, and thanked everyone involved for their commitment and support.
The ASV Au is looking forward to a successful year 2025 and would like to thank all members and sponsors for the great support!
