What is youth gymnastics?
Gymnastics stands for sustainable, innovative popular sport and has been part of J+S since the beginning. Gymnastics is multifaceted and varied. The various movements and the diverse range of training programs promote a broad development of sports and exercise skills. In gymnastics, lifelong, healthy and enjoyable sport is possible.
The sport is innovative and moves with the times. Trends and movements from various sports – adapted to gymnastics – are an integral part. Gymnastics supports children and young people in a variety of ways. Thanks to its broad orientation, it opens up sporting and social perspectives.
What is J+S children’s sport?
The Federal Office of Sport (BASPO) supports J+S children’s sports and offers a wide range of child-friendly sports activities in clubs and schools for children between the ages of five and ten. The children are supported in discovering their personal sporting preferences. The offerings create favorable conditions for later sport-specific performance through training in the basic forms of movement.

Youth camp, a long-time favorite among young gymnasts. The Swiss Gymnastics Association offers many great youth camps every year.
Competition offers
A variety of competitions from the fields of athletics, gymnastics, gymnastics, etc. are offered at gymnastics festivals, gymnastics and youth days.
Swiss Championships Club Gymnastics Youth (SMVJ)
Around 1,800 young people (number of participants increasing) take part in the Swiss Gymnastics Association’s top event on the first weekend in December.
In the divisions of gymnastics and apparatus gymnastics SMV Youth the Swiss youth champions were chosen at a high level. With a lot of enthusiasm and enormous commitment, the young gymnasts show that they are the gymnasts of tomorrow.

Jugihit
“Sport – games – fun” are the focus of youth competitions. The Jugihit offers a wide range of movement ideas for youth gymnastics lessons and as preparation for competitions.
