An amazing event in the ‘Bureau Maastricht’ program on Tuesday night. A man has to be brought back at a wedding there, but according to the police, the other wedding guests are continuing to party.
“I personally thought that was a strange feeling”
Police officers Anouk and Kirsten are searching for the owner of a missing Chihuahua when they suddenly receive an urgent report of a recovery at a wedding. They run to the party place and run inside, while the presenter Ewout Genemans stays behind in the police car with the chihuahua.
“I personally thought it was a strange feeling,” Anouk tells Ewout a little later when she is out again. According to Anouk, it seemed that the sick gentleman, who had had a heart attack before, used a lot of cocaine. “So maybe those are the two reasons why he’s gone again , but that is not known,” says Anouk.
According to Anouk, it doesn’t happen often that there is a revival at a wedding, but usually there is a lot of panic and chaos, according to Anouk. That was not the case now. “Here it was true that the music was turned back and everyone continued to party. ” Kirsten also found the feeling inside strange. “We hear chest compressions were given and the party went on. That’s weird,” said Kirsten.
Finally the bride comes out to talk to the police officers. She says that the man was brought back by an attendant, but that he soon recovered. He is still being taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Daan, one of the officers Maastricht Bureau, has been getting a lot of attention since the program started. He told RTL Boulevard about it:
