Art. Commissioner Hristo Ichev is the new director of Burgas Prison – 2024-11-19 13:56:00

The Supervisory Commission held a meeting, the main idea of which was to familiarize the members of the Commission with the new Head of the Prison – Burgas – st. Commissioner Hristo Ichev. He assumed the post after the retirement of Art. Commissioner Jancho Zelev.

Those present at the meeting expressed their motivation for future work and for upgrading all the initiatives carried out so far, so that the prisoners could more fully and qualitatively use their days and stay in the closed-type prison dormitories.

Of great importance to the members is the cooperation between the Supervisory Commission and the Prison, in the name of new causes, events and developing the intellectual and cultural education of the prisoners.

Among the events to be organized are a bodybuilding tournament, lessons on the topic “I want to know about the great Bulgarians we know”, meetings with Bulgarian scientists working in the field of the development of new technologies and other inspiring presentations.

With the upcoming initiatives being planned, inmates will be given the opportunity to build discipline and perseverance, as well as a healthier lifestyle.

Apart from the inevitable benefits of all the activities so far, as well as those to come, although apparently rudimentary in nature, allow for easier contact, rapport and better communication between the prisoners and the members of the Monitoring Committee to be the goals of prevention, rehabilitation and resocialization of the incarcerated have been achieved.
