IMWM warns the inhabitants of Lower Silesia. There will be strong winds and heavy rainfall

Strong wind and rains in Lower Silesia. There is a warning from IMWM

The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management warns the inhabitants of Lower Silesia against strong winds and intense rainfall. There is no district in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship that has not been covered by one of the two alerts. Residents must prepare for unfavorable weather conditions.

“Strong winds with an average speed of up to 35 km/h, gusts of up to 80 km/h, from the southwest and west are forecast”

– reports the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management.

A strong wind warning applies to the entire Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The IMWM alert is valid from Tuesday, November 19, at 17:00, until Wednesday, November 20, at 4:00.

Importantly, the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management also warns against intense rainfall, but in this case the message applies only to one district of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The alert is valid only in the Kłodzko district.

“Moderate rainfall is forecast, sometimes heavy. Predicted rainfall from 35 mm to 45 mm”

– reported by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management.

Lower Silesia is not the only voivodeship at risk of strong winds. Residents of the vast majority of Polish voivodeships will have to face it, but such intense rainfall will only occur in the Kłodzko district.

It is worth adding that IMWM forecasts deterioration of road conditions. The weather hazard forecast of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management predicts icing in the south of Lower Silesia, in the following districts:

  • Kłodzko,
  • Wałbrzych,
  • Kamienna Góra,
  • Karkonosze,
  • lubański,
  • Lwówek,
  • Jelenia Góra.
