6 of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Europe 2024

Dijon, France: November 30, 2024 – January 2, 2025

Dijon is famous for mustard, wine, architecture and art – but why not for its Christmas market?

The Marché de Noël de Dijon takes place at Place Darcy, Place de la Liberation, Place de la République and Rue de la Liberté. It offers local and international products, from handicrafts to gastronomy and decoration. There are many attractions in the market.

In the children’s village, children can ride carousels, meet Santa Claus, bring in wish lists and participate in workshops.

The outdoor ice skating rink on the Place de la République invites young and old to ice skate and offers themed nights. The Ferris wheel provides a view of the city with Christmas lights as darkness falls.

An impressive light and sound display is planned in front of the town hall. A special tradition since 1951 is the descent of Santa Claus from the roof of the town hall and the Tour Philippe Le Bon.

The truffle market attracts gourmets, and various street shows and performances in the city’s cultural centers provide entertainment.
