What advice would you give to aspiring models who are nervous about entering an industry that has historically favored youth over experience?
Congratulations on reaching this incredible milestone, Lindsay! Can you tell us a little bit about your experience of turning 40 in the modelling industry? Do you feel that the industry’s standards regarding age have changed since you started your career?
Guest 1: Thank you so much! Turning 40 in the modelling industry certainly comes with a different set of expectations and challenges, but I feel very fortunate to have had such a long and successful career. I think the industry is starting to recognize the value of experience and maturity, and there are more opportunities now for older models than there used to be. However, we still have a long way to go in terms of inclusivity and representation across all ages and body types.
Guest 2: Absolutely, Lindsay. You know, I think the fashion industry has been criticized for its limitations when it comes to age and body type, and it’s great to see that there are more diverse models being represented these days. But it’s true that there’s still a long way to go. Can you share your thoughts on the importance of representation and inclusivity in the fashion world?
Guest 1: I completely agree. I think it’s so important to celebrate all body types and ages in the fashion world. Everyone should feel seen and represented, especially in such a influential industry. As models, we have a unique platform to promote diversity and inclusivity, and it’s our responsibility to use that platform to make a positive impact.
Guest 2: Moving on to your journey as a model, you’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of high-profile designers and brands. Could you share some of your favorite memories from those experiences?
Guest 1: There are so many incredible memories! From walking the runways of Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks to shooting campaigns with iconic photographers like Steven Meisel, my career has been filled with incredible highlights. But if I had to choose a few, I would say walking in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was a standout experience for me. The energy and excitement of the show were unparalleled, and it was an honor to be part of such a historic event.
Guest 2: Speaking of Victoria’s Secret,
