The caricature exhibition “Shining Prospects” will be on display in Oberkirch from November 15th to December 13th, 2024. Organized by a team from BUND-Renchtal, the PAuLA association and the Weltladen Oberkirch, the exhibition brings 99 caricatures from the Episcopal Relief Organization MISEREOR eV and the Archdiocese of Bamberg to various locations in the city. Mayor Christoph Lipps takes over the patronage of the multi-center exhibition.
The works deal with the topics of lifestyle, consumption, climate change and justice in a humorous but also thoughtful way. The cartoons address contradictions and depths of individual and social action and encourage critical debate. They invite us to question how we deal with the global challenges of climate change and social justice and call for action in a humorous way.
Interested visitors can visit the exhibition in the Evangelical and Catholic Church, in the town hall, the citizens’ office, the media library, in the Volksbank and in numerous Oberkirchen shops. Catalogs for the exhibition are available in the Bücherinsel Oberkirch bookstore.
Those interested can find further information about the exhibition and the caricatures on display at misereor.de.
