The Israeli bombings in the Gaza Strip have caused at least 28 deaths and more than a hundred injured in the last day, according to the count of the Ministry of Health of the enclave, controlled by Hamas published this Friday.
Thus, the total number of deaths rises to 43,764, the majority of the victims are women and children; and the number of wounded has now reached 103,490 since the beginning of the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, Palestinian authorities estimate that more than 10,000 bodies remain under the rubble without being able to be rescued by civil defense teams due to the intensity of the Israeli attacks.
On the other hand, during the morning of this Friday five Palestinians died in different air and artillery attacks launched in Gaza City and in other points in the north of the enclave, according to the official Palestinian news agency, Wafa.
Since the beginning of October, Israeli troops have intensified their offensive against the north of the Strip, claiming to have detected the presence of Hamas in this area, and since then some 2,000 people have died, according to Palestinian figures.
The humanitarian situation has also deteriorated in the north of the enclave due to the little aid that has been arriving in recent weeks, as different international organizations, including the UN, have reported.
“Simply put, there has not been enough humanitarian assistance in Gaza, not just in the last few days or weeks, but during the 13 months of this brutal Israeli war.”said this Friday the spokesperson for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), Louise Wateridge.
The Israeli Army, for its part, insists that its operation in the north of the Strip is focused on “eliminating” militants and that in the last month they have killed thousands of them in this area. EFE (I)
