Seungwoo Kim works as a UX designer at Sam’s Club, a Walmart affiliate, and is in charge of design related to membership registration, renewal, and upgrades on multiple platforms including web, mobile, and in-store employee devices.
He solved the problem of new members not fully understanding membership benefits through the ‘Join Flow Value Message’ project. To this end, we developed a design that emphasized key benefits and introduced a banner design for Plus membership upsell to encourage members to upgrade their membership. Seungwoo Kim won the silver award in the Best User Experience category for this project.
In addition, in the ‘Personalized Renewal Page’ project, the membership renewal rate was increased by creating a personalized page, and the company received a gold award in the Best User Experience category in recognition of its performance in providing personalized benefits to customers.

It’s essential to consider various platforms and device types when designing for a diverse audience. For example, the Plus Upgrade Flow project required designing for both mobile and desktop experiences.
