The court has granted bail to 10 members of Jamaatul Ansar Phil Hindal Sharqiya who were arrested in a RAB operation in the Bandarban sabotage case. On Monday (November 18) around 3:30 p.m., District and Sessions Judge Court judge Mohammad Mosleh Uddin granted bail.
Those granted bail are Abdus Salam (28) of Kotwali area of Barisal, Mohipur area of Patuakhali. Obaidullah (30), Jobair Ahmed (29) of Laksam district in Comilla, Jewel Mahmud (27) of Mirzaganj district in Patuakhali, Shamim Hossain (26) of Dashmina upazila, Riyaz Sheikh (24) of Tongibari of Munshiganj, Md. Betagi of Barguna district. Sohel Mollah (22), Balidia area of Magura. Abu Horaira (22), Didar Hossain (25) of Comilla Sadar district and Imran Hossain (35) of Mohammadpur district Chittagong.
According to the statement of the case, RAB arrested 32 members of the militant group Jamaatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya from different remote areas of Bandarban in 2022 during an anti-terrorist operation. Today, the court granted bail to 10 members as a result of their application for bail.
Additional PP Zainal Abedin Bhuiyan, advocate of the state side of the Bandarban District and Sessions Judge’s Court, said that the court has granted bail on bonds of 5 thousand taka per person due to the application to the court.
Earlier, on November 24, after granting bail to 32 members of the same group in four cases, the court suspended the bail due to violation of bail conditions.
