Before talking about the nominees, it should be mentioned that just two days ago the Game Awards they made it official that DLCs, remakes, remastersseasons and expansion packs of existing games could compete for the title of Game of the Year. This year this news would not have had so much weight, but we must keep in mind that this year they have released the Shadow of the Erd Tree, DLC of Elden Ring (GOTY of 2022) and the remakes of games like Final Fantasy VII o Silent Hill 2so it is likely that they will have a great advantage in the corresponding nominations.

He GOTY is always the main attraction of the galabut the rest of the categories are also highly anticipated. Even more so in this tenth edition, which will be held next December 13 starting at 01:30 (CET) and will be packed with all the spectacular releases that have taken place throughout 2024. The ceremony promises to be a memorable event, where video game fans will be able to see live which titles and creators take home the most coveted awards of the year. This news has not been entirely well received by the public.who, for the most part, are completely opposed to this decision that the awards show founded by Geoff Keighley has made.
