For some time now, smart TV viewers “Go3” have been able to follow the events of the dating show “Randiņš ar dįvisi”.
Even though the usual dating shows fight for the heart of one person, this time “Randiņš ar dvais” is different because the fight is for the hearts of two actors from Latvia. One of them is the former actor of the Daile Theater Mārtiņš Počs. Currently, Mārtiņš Počs is experiencing life outside the theater and is also ready for new challenges. Often, being in the role of event and wedding manager, he also does not leave the idea of his own wedding and the opportunities to find the love of his life. In this conversation about the sacrifices of the acting profession and love.
How did you get asked to participate in the show “Date with Two”?
We filmed the episode “Four on Suitcases” in Mexico. At the time, the producers were looking for someone who would be willing to take part in a new dating show. We were sitting in a cafe, and at one point the stylist Indra Salceviča told everyone that Mārtiņš was a good candidate. At first I thought it was a joke. I was inspired, and when I flew to Latvia, I thought – why!
The decision to make a show about two men looking for a lover is interesting. Do you think it was a good decision?
Now that the show is filmed, I’m so glad we had two. The tension, especially with the girls, was high. It was also difficult not to offend her somehow. I said from the beginning that I did not want to compete, that was not the reason I wanted to participate in the show.
How do you look at a wedding? Today, couples tend not to get married and just live together. Which way do you bend more?
I want to get married, but I want to do it once and for all.

Martins Pocs: Well, I was in Mexico shooting an episode of ”Four on Suitcases” when the producers approached me. Initially, I thought it was a joke, but when I flew back to Latvia, I thought why not?
Website Editor: That’s fascinating. To proceed with our discussion, we would like to know if you think having a show focused on two men searching for a lover was a good decision. What are your views on this, Anonymous Female Guest?
Anonymous Female Guest: Honestly, I initially thought it might be weird, but it ended up being quite interesting. There was a lot of tension and competition between the two men, especially with the girls. It was challenging not to offend someone accidentally. But I think it was a good decision.
Website Editor: Absolutely, it definitely adds an unexpected twist to the usual dating show format. Moving on, Martins mentioned that he wanted to get married someday. What role do weddings play in your life?
Martins Pocs: Weddings are an essential part of my life. Even when I was acting, I always dreamed of planning my own wedding. These days,I work as an independent event and wedding manager, and I’ve attended countless weddings. I want to tie the knot once and for all.
