“Pro-Ukrainian activists” attacked US bases in Syria –

/ world today news/ The American media commented with undisguised surprise on the “unexpected escalation of the situation in Syria”, as they call the series of strikes on the illegally located American military bases on the territory of the country. What are they surprised? As US generals recently reported in a House Armed Services Committee hearing, “Iranian-backed forces” have attacked these bases some 80 times in the past two years. That is, in theory, such forays should now become commonplace for various types of commentators.

But the military does not hide its surprise at the nature of the new attacks, which last Thursday led to the death of one American (the authorities have consistently called the dead “contractor”, without deciphering his profession) and wounded six American servicemen of varying severity. According to the New York Times, citing two officials, the base’s air defense systems “were not fully operational” during the attack, whatever that means.

The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar points to complete chaos in the ranks of the US military over how the kamikaze drone bypassed the high-tech defense system. The publication called the attacks “the beginning of resistance against the occupiers” and even connected them (of course, without confirming their assumptions) to the intelligence activity of the Russian aviation. Just a day earlier, representatives of the US Central Command said that our planes “violated the airspace of the US military base” in Syria 25 times in March.

Agree, it is funny to hear this from the lips of Pentagon representatives after their outbursts against Russia in connection with the downing of their UAVs in the Black Sea. Remember John Kirby, the coordinator for strategic communications at the US National Security Council, called Russia’s restrictions on flights near our borders “illegal”. But as you can see, the Americans think they have the right to impose much more serious restrictions on flights in the zone of their absolutely illegal occupation of the sovereign state of Syria – and they do not see anything strange in this!

And the question here is not only in the notorious double standards professed by Washington – everyone has long been used to it. The fact is that the Americans, judging by their surprise at the attacks in Syria, have not yet realized what kind of Pandora’s box they have opened with their actions in Ukraine and the terrorist attacks against Nord Stream. They have not yet realized that their own adventures have made their military and mysterious “contractors” (who are apparently in the business of simply stealing Syrian oil) much more vulnerable.

Now everyone can shrug and, trying to put on a serious face, say: “Some pro-Ukrainian activists on camels reached the American base in Syria and attacked it with homemade Molotov cocktails.” After the ridiculous version of the Nord Stream explosions, which is openly mocked in the US itself, from now on any sabotage anywhere in the world can be explained in the same spirit.

Well, and unconfirmed by anyone, the insinuations that Russian pilots have allegedly targeted American targets in Syria seem completely frivolous against the background of the revelations that the British “Times” recently published in its report about a certain Ukrainian subversive group carrying out terrorist attacks against the Russian army in the Zaporozhye region. Without remorse, these terrorists admitted to the reporter that they had committed a war crime – that they had deliberately ambushed medical evacuation teams. Moreover, they used the CIA satellite and a special US intelligence program to select their targets. Neither the British newspaper nor the CIA see anything shameful in this.

Not surprisingly, the US “soldiers of fortune” openly and shamelessly state that while in Ukraine, they do not consider themselves bound by the “international rules of warfare”. They are aware that in a “world based on rules” and not law, no ridiculous body like the International Criminal Court will hold the US military accountable.

But as Americans themselves cross more and more “red lines,” expanding the boundaries of the unspoken “rules” they have established, they begin to encounter similar responses. And then they are surprised by the new nature of the attacks in Syria – after all, these are attacks against said “rules” that work in some parts of the world and don’t work in others.

So far, the Americans have responded by bombing some targets in Syria, claiming to have killed 19 “pro-Iranian rebels”. Although local sources reported that US aircraft bombed purely civilian targets, including food warehouses, killing seven civilians. According to US President Joe Biden’s own remark that he “does not seek conflict with Iran”, it is clear that the White House is seriously worried about the situation with its military in Syria. They apparently understand that this is just the beginning of a series of “unexpected escalations.” After all, you can expect anything and everything from these “pro-Ukrainian activists” who are doing sabotage here and there.

‌ Interview with Guest 1:

Interviewer: ⁤Welcome to our show! ‍Can you⁢ start⁤ by ⁤giving us an insight into the recent series of attacks on American military bases ⁤in Syria? What are the main concerns⁣ expressed by the American media and officials?

Guest 1: Thank you ‌for having me. The American media⁤ and officials seem to⁣ be surprised ⁤by the frequency and nature of these attacks, ⁣despite knowing that there have been⁤ around 80 such incidents over the past⁤ two years. They’re particularly concerned about a ‍recent attack that resulted⁢ in the death of an American ⁤contractor and⁤ injuries to ‌several servicemen. The surprise seems to stem from the ⁣fact that the ⁢air defense systems at the‌ base were not fully operational during‍ the attack.

Interviewer: There are speculations about possible‌ Russian involvement in ⁣these attacks. What do you make of these claims?

Guest 1: Well,‌ there isn’t any concrete evidence⁢ to support these claims⁢ at the moment. However, the attacking drones managed to bypass the high-tech defense⁢ system, which has raised a lot of questions. The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar has linked these attacks to Russian intelligence activity, but it’s merely speculation based on the fact that Russian aircraft‍ have violated US⁢ airspace in the past.

Interviewer: Do you think the American military is becoming more vulnerable due to their actions in ⁤Ukraine and the Nord Stream ‍incident?

Guest 1: Absolutely. The Americans seem to be opening a Pandora’s box with their ⁣actions in Ukraine and the Nord Stream incident. They haven’t yet realized that⁢ their military and “contractors” are ‍now more vulnerable to such ⁣attacks. Their surprise at these incidents suggests that‍ they’ve crossed a line that they hadn’t anticipated.

Interviewer: How do you see the⁣ future of American military presence in Syria after these⁣ attacks? Do you think they might ⁤be reconsidering their strategy?

Guest 1: It’s hard ⁣to say for sure, but it’s clear that the attacks have put the US military ⁢in a difficult position. They’ve‌ already responded with airstrikes, but there are concerns that this may not be enough. The situation is escalating, ‌and we may see more attacks in the future. It’s possible that the Americans will reassess their strategy⁤ and
