For several decades, the city of Compiègne, the French Blood Establishment (EFS) and the Association for voluntary blood donation of Compiègne and its region have worked together. Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the very location of the blood collections, in the annex of the Compiègne town hall, an agreement sealed this partnership.
Dr Anne-Marie Manteau, deputy director of EFS Hauts-de-France, Jean-Marie Piet, president of the Association for voluntary blood donation and Sophie Schwarz, first deputy presented the new poster. This model, which will be present in merchants and in public places, includes a QR code which links to the EFS website with the days and times of collections as well as the possibility of making an appointment immediately. The poster will also find a place in the city buses which travel and connect the 22 municipalities of the Agglomeration of the Compiègne region (ARC).

What are the key benefits of the partnership between the city of Compiègne and the French Blood Establishment for local residents?
Thank you for joining me today. I am excited to discuss the partnership between the city of Compiègne, the French Blood Establishment (EFS), and the Association for voluntary blood donation of Compiègne and its region. The work that you all are doing is truly remarkable, and I know that our readers will benefit from your insights.
Firstly, Dr. Manteau and Mr. Piet, can you both explain the importance of this partnership and how it came to fruition?
Secondly, the introduction of a new poster that contains a QR code linking to the EFS website for easier access to donation information is an excellent initiative. Can you tell us more about the content of the poster, and how it will help raise awareness about blood donations in the region?
Thirdly, the inclusion of the QR code on city buses is another innovative approach to reaching a broader audience. What challenges did you face during the implementation process, and how do you plan to monitor its effectiveness?
Lastly, what message would you like to send out to the citizens of Compiègne and its surrounding areas regarding blood donations? How can they get involved and make a difference?
Again, thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. Your efforts are truly inspiring and life-changing.
