We are in the last month of the NCAA regular season and even a stingy weekend of “clashes” at the top can issue sentences that are now considered final and without the possibility of appeal.
The cartel match of the week was played to a packed house Sanford Stadium ad Athens, Georgia, dove i Georgia Bulldogs beat the Tennessee Volunteers 31-17. An uphill match straight away for Georgia who struggled to shake off the demons of last week: defense permeable with runs and Carson Beck in difficulty, slow in reading and not helped by his line and the unsteady hands of his receivers. Ready to go 10-0 for Tennessee thanks to the runs of RB Dylan Sampson and the careful management of Nico Iamaleava, recovered at the last minute for this match. From then on, however, Georgia took the lead and began to put the Vols’ defense under pressure with an up-tempo attack that immediately paid excellent dividends. Carson Beck has improved his shots and with him the attack, starting with WRs Oscar Delp and London Humphreys and, also thanks to a couple of “lucky” plays – such as the double Fumble
When a player in possession of the ball (offending or defending) loses control of it. The fumble can be recovered by any player on the field with the exception of some particular actions.

When an offensive player crosses the imaginary perpendicular plane that cuts the field into the goal line after a run (in this case it is sufficient that the ball, and not the entire body of the ball carrier, crosses the demarcation line of the scoring area , called the end zone), or an offensive and eligible player receives the ball in the opponent’s end zone after a passing action and touches the playing field with both feet. A touchdown awards 6 points and gives the possibility of carrying out a conversion action with a kick (extra point, 1 additional point, more frequent because it is almost certain) or with the hand (2 additional points, less frequent because more difficult, but sometimes necessary to impact or win the game).(Wikipedia)

In the SEC there were two other eye-catching matches.
South Carolina – Missouri it was probably the best match of the week. The hosts won (Gamecocks) 34-30 at the end of an extremely tough match that ended with a cinematic ending. South Carolina seemed to be in control of the match after closing the first half on 21-6, but the Tigers’ comeback came impetuous with the runs of Noel and the plays of Theo Wease Jr and Luther Burden III, the latter author of the incredible reception that with 1 minute left in the game had given Mizzou the momentary lead at 27-30. At that point LaNorris Sellers stood up on the pedals driving a Drive
A drive is the series of actions that the offensive team performs without interruptions due to a punt, an interception or a fumble.

For South Car the Playoffs are still far away, but never say never.
The end zone are the two final 10-yard areas of a field where entering with the ball you score a touchdown or if you are stopped inside that area you suffer a safety.

The other match was the one between Florida e LSUalso won in this case by the hosts thanks to the rediscovered DJ Lagway and the performance for the ages del WR Elijah Badgers. 27-16 the finale for the Gators which thus put an end to LSU’s chances of reaching the SEC Championship game and which gives a nice boost to Billy Napier’s team for the near and future future. Finally, to close the SEC, Texas he made a match that a priori wasn’t seem simple, going on to win 20-10 on the Arkansas fieldgranting a paltry 231 total yards to the Razorbacks’ attack and controlling the lead gained in the first for the entire second half. Non-competitive for Alabama, Kentucky, Auburn and Texas A&M who were in a bye week under another name.
The most interesting things happened, as often happens, in BigXII.
The BigXII has a new favorite and it’s the team where the new favorite for the Heisman Trophy plays. We’re obviously talking about the Colorado Buffaloes and Travis Hunter. THE Buffaloes demolished Utah 49-24. The last team to score 49 points in Utah was Chip Kelly and Marcus Mariota’s Oregon in 2014, 10 years ago! And, yes, that Oregon went on to play for the national title.
We’re not saying that Colorado can do the same, but it’s certainly the fittest team in the BigXII and the one that’s functioning best in every department, so, never say never.
If we talk like this about Colorado it is because 2 important things happened in BigXII: BYU collapsed. After 9 victories without defeats the football gods were unable to make the Cougars do yet another game-winning drive, who ran aground on a 4th&10 from 20 yards in a desperate attempt to recover the 13-17 Kansaswhich instead remained the final result. Tiring and not beautiful match, but excellent victory for Kansas who needed one of this type to give prestige to a rather disappointing season.
The other unexpected defeat was that of Kansas State, defeated at home by miracle Arizona State 24-14in a match that has never had history. Touchdown on the first drive and then turnover converted into another 7 points on the first defensive drive to immediately go 14-0: ideal start for the Sun Devils, who from then on managed the defense and scored again thanks to an extraordinary Sam Leavitt. At 24-0 in the middle of the third quarter they pulled the handbrake and conceded something to the K-State attack which still failed to get within a dangerous distance.
Iowa State returns to victory, beating Cincinnati 34-17, Arizona beats Houston 27-3 and Baylor beats West Virginia 49-35.
In BigTen no surprises, though Oregon struggles to beat Wisconsin: 16-13 the finale of a violent match that Oregon didn’t seem ready for. In the second half the physical level of the Ducks increased, and if they won this game they owed it to two players: RB Jordan James – 121 yards and 1 TD in 25 carries – and Matayo Uiagalelei in defense, author of a series of decisive plays at various levels, as well as the interception on Wisconsin’s last drive that concluded the game.
Easy victories for Ohio State against Northwestern and Penn State against Purdue, Illinois beat Michigan State 38-16, Rutgers beat Maryland 31-17 away, Washington won at home against UCLA and USC returned to winning ways by beating Nebraska 28-20 .
In the ACC the match of the week was the one between Clemson and Pittsburghwhich ended with the victory of the Tigers for 24-20. Difficult match for Clemson, against a Pitt team that, despite without its starting QB, played a strong game and, as usual, conceded little or nothing in defense. It was resolved by a play, as beautiful as it was impromptu, by Cade Klubnik: a 50-yard run into the endzone that made it 24-20 with 1:16 left. Clemson is far from a complete team, but the Championship game is closer now.
SMU struggles once again, but wins again! 38-28 the final against Boston College. The upside of the day is the one at the expense of Louisville, which is defeated on the field of Stanford 38-35 con un Field goal
Place kick taken by the attacking team, if the ball passes between the posts it is worth 3 points. If the kick is not converted, the ball passes to the opponents from the spot of the kick (NFL) or from the point from which the action started (NCAA). A short field goal may be recovered and advanced by the defending team.

Syracuse beats Cal 33-25, Virginia loses at Notre Dame 14-35, while on the Tobacco Road the derby between UNC and Wake Forest goes to the Tar Heels, 31-24.
