Director of the Samara Press Office: Maximos was disturbed by the proposal for Karamanli PtD –

Nikos Tsioutsias, director of the press office of Antonis Samaras, attributed the deletion of the former prime minister from the ND to the proposal of Antonis Samaras that Kostas Karamanlis become the President of the Republic. “The Maximos Palace was disturbed by the proposal that Kostas Karamanlis become the President of the Republic,” he said characteristically.

Speaking to the TV station MEGA and the show “Developments now”, Mr. Tsioutsias argued, among other things, that Antonis Samaras “has been justified in all his interventions”, while he confirmed Samaras trip to the USA: “The only thing I can tell you for sure is that in the next few days Mr. Samaras will be in America.”

Among other things, he characterized the decision of Kyriakos Mitsotakis to delete Antonis Samaras as historic, while he also referred to the past. “30 years ago Mr. Samaras resigned as an MP and Konstantinos Mitsotakis, when he was left with 150 MPs, called an election. Mr. Samaras didn’t overthrow the government then,” he said, to add that he is not… superhuman, to overthrow the government.

Also, Mr. Tsioutsias said that the former prime minister influences both MPs and society, while adding that he is talking about the homeland, faction and society. At the same time, he emphasized: “In the European elections, we had the collapse of the ND, which had no opponent.”

I am not ruling out anything for the future Samara, he added.
