While “Treehouse of Horror” episodes take a more humorous‌ and parodic approach to classic horror stories, “Thanksgiving of Horror” provides an opportunity to delve into more‌ original narratives‍ that reflect the themes of Thanksgiving through the⁣ lens of ⁤horror. It opens the door to creativity in a fresh way, which I’m really looking forward to!

Welcome to our interview segment about the‍ upcoming “Thanksgiving of Horror” special episode of The Simpsons. Today, we have two esteemed guests joining us to discuss this exciting ‌development – Lisa Chalupa and Lisa Simpson.⁤ Lisa Chalupa ⁢is a renowned horror film critic and scholar‌ at Springfield University, while Lisa Simpson is a well-known voice actress who has lent her talents to various horror-themed episodes ‍of The‍ Simpsons.

Firstly, ‌can you⁣ both introduce yourselves and share your thoughts ⁣on this new themed special episode?

Lisa Chalupa: Hello,⁣ I’m Lisa Chalupa. As a horror film enthusiast and academic, I’m always excited to see new interpretations of the genre in ⁤popular media. The Simpsons has always been a show that pushes boundaries and challenges⁢ norms, so I’m thrilled⁢ about the upcoming “Thanksgiving of Horror” special. It’s great to see‍ the show exploring a new type of storytelling for the holiday season.

Lisa Simpson: ‌Hi everyone, I’m Lisa Simpson. I’ve been voicing ⁢characters‍ on The Simpsons for over three decades now, and I’m especially excited about this project because horror⁢ is such a fun genre to work in. We’ve done a few‌ horror-themed episodes in the past, but this is the first time we’re dedicating an entire special to it. I ⁣can’t wait for‍ fans to see what ⁤we’ve come up with!

Q: How does “Thanksgiving of Horror” continue the tradition of the popular “Treehouse⁤ of Horror” series?

LC:⁢ Well, it doesn’t really. The ‍”Treehouse‌ of Horror” series ‌has been an annual Halloween staple for The Simpsons since 1990, and it allows the show to explore ⁣horror tropes ⁣and genres in a fun, irreverent way. “Thanksgiving of Horror,” on the other hand, is a one-off ⁢special that seems to ‌be more focused on creating unique horror stories inspired by the holiday itself. It’s a‍ new take on the horror-themed episodes that The Simpsons has done⁢ in the past while still maintaining the spirit of the show.

LS: I agree with Lisa Chalupa
