Amaliada: “The thread is too tangled” – Irene’s mistake –

New revelations and documents arrived on the show “Light in the Tunnel” about the case with the dead babies in Amaliada.

“Before we received a very serious piece of information that I confess took my breath away and it is not for the wind” said Aggeliki Nikolouli in last night’s show, adding that it comes in continuation of previous testimony with specific persons, dates, places, doctors and even videos. “The case is very complicated,” he noted.

Sia, a friend of the mother of little Panagiotakis, with whom she lived before Irini, spoke on the show, claiming that Irini Mourtzoukou causes great fear in both the mother, Popi, and the grandmother. She herself believes that only the witnesses are telling the truth and not Popi and the grandmother because she believes that Irini for some reason is blackmailing them and threatening them not to tell what happened to the child.

Sia then revealed that she first came out on the show receiving threats through her sister. “Popi and Irini had held hands several times, but while the mother herself and Spyros asked Irini to leave, the grandmother held her and I don’t know the reason,” he added.

She also spoke about the shock testimony from 8-year-old Asimina, sister of Panagiotakis, who described her terrifying experience years ago with Irini. “Because I didn’t want Rinos (s.s. Irini) to give me a bath and I wanted mom to give me a bath, then Rinos grabbed me by the neck” the child had said, with Sia now asking everyone to talk about to vindicate children’s souls.

“How did I know the child was dead?”

Irini Mourtzoukou spoke with Angeliki Nikolouli during the show, answering what happened with her first child but also about the exposure on television and the contradictions to which she has fallen.

Their dialogue is revealing:

– Peace, why didn’t you go to your first child to ask for help immediately, when you saw that he was not breathing and was covered and the Pakistani went and knocked on the door?

– It’s not like the Pakistani said. He doesn’t know Greek. The child was covered, sleeping since I was with my mother feeding him. And at that time it was night, the sun had set. We have it like that… when the child is not in his forties, you don’t see him. The child was sleeping since after half an hour he was about to eat milk. And I said to him ‘leave it now, the sun has gone down, she is sleeping, don’t look at her in the night. To wake up later.

– He says he saw the child hooded and he went and notified the landlady.

– We went out together and went to the landlady.

– But the child was already dead, Irene.

– And how do I know it was?

“My only fault is that I’ve been on TV

Regarding her second child who died in “Agia Sophia” she mentions that at that time due to the incident that happened with Pispirigou, she was constantly guarded at the Hospital.

“Isn’t it a pity, Angeliki, to see little children die? They haven’t lived yet. Every day I see such incidents and I say why… It’s not just our children who leave. After all that has happened and especially after Panagiotis whom I had as my own, many times I have thought that my brother should not leave. I think I need a psychologist and I’m going because I’ve been through a lot,” he adds.

Regarding her relationships, she states that she was not violent and that she was in a position of defense.

“Generally I haven’t made any mistakes. My only fault is that I have been on TV and I have fallen into contradictions. I don’t like publicity. I don’t know how to speak well and they take it differently and then I go crazy. If I was out of this situation, I wouldn’t blame anyone,” he says characteristically.

To the question of how she will react if it turns out that she is indeed involved in the case in Amaliada, Irini answers: “If I had done something I would have left and now you would be looking for me.” As for the reason why Panagiotakis’ family changed their attitude towards her, she replied that this is not the case.

“Together we decided to leave to calm things down. I was in front when Popi asked the police to search me and I had said so too. It is not true what they say that he wanted to leave the house and me. If he had said something like that I would have listened to it because we are always together.”

“Thread is too confusing”

“No one is accused but now a detailed investigation is being carried out because 6 people have already testified about the death of Panagiotakis, who were in the area where the child went missing”, the honorary president of the police officers of N/A Attica, Giorgos, tells MEGA Kalliakmanis.

“Homicide is trying to clarify the circumstances under which the child left. They are waiting for the toxicology and histology for this particular child, but the research will also extend backwards. Homicide takes on a tough job.”

As he says: “A lot of persuasion has been lost, this thread is very confusing. Some of the people involved have shaken the trust themselves because one says one thing, the other says another. We see strange behavior, contradictory statements in the media.”

“There have been 4 indictments. (…) If it turns out that there is even one criminal act for one of the children, there is collective responsibility. The first responsibility rests with Irini’s mother, who is now a nanny,” he adds.

“What did Poppy have to fear?”

For her part, the advocate of 24-year-old Irini, Voula Dimitriadou, referring to the testimony of Panagiotakis’ mother in which she stated that the 24-year-old threatened her, notes:

“If I take into account that up until now all the television panels, especially grandmother Fotini, walked hand in hand with Irini and testified that she has her as her child, I think that this is not consistent with threatening someone, especially when in the grandmother also lived in a certain house, her 8-year-old daughter also lived there, and Mr. Spiros. So what did Popi have to fear? One cannot be afraid when one has one’s own people by one’s side. And she also had the father of her child.”
