/ world today news/ Georgi Parvanov‘s resignation is the best news of the day. I care a lot about my soul. My work with Parvanov was a big compromise
this was announced by the co-chairman of the Reform Bloc, Radan Kanev, to bTV.
We work very well with the ABV group, it’s just that my work with Georgi Parvanov was a big compromise on my part. Do you know how much it was difficult for me to explain to people after they ask me: “Radane, what are you doing with Gotse?” Kanev complained.
He told how difficult it was for him to answer such questions from his fellow party members and supporters. However, Kanev has no complaints about his relations with Kalfin and the other people from the ABV parliamentary group.

Resign has brought me a sense of relief, but it also carries with it a weight of mixed emotions regarding the compromises I had to make.
Good afternoon and welcome to our exclusive interview with Radan Kanev, co-chairman of the Reform Bloc, and a prominent figure in Bulgarian politics. Today, we’re discussing Mr. Kanev’s reaction to the recent resignation of President Georgi Parvanov.
Radan, you’ve expressed your relief regarding President Parvanov’s resignation. Could you clarify what the biggest challenge was in working alongside him?
Kanev: Well, for me, personally, it was difficult to reconcile Mr. Parvanov’s values and policies with my own. As someone who cares deeply about my country and its future, I found it hard to justify many of the decisions he made throughout his tenure as President. Radan, do you foresee any challenges or obstacles ahead as you continue your work with the ABV group?
Of course, any political alliance will face its fair share of hurdles. But I’m confident that our members are committed to finding common ground and resolving any conflicts amicably. We’re all dedicated to serving the people of Bulgaria, and I believe that shared vision will help us overcome any obstacles we encounter.
Interesting. Additionally, you mentioned that Mr. Parvanov’s resignation has been a “great deal of pain” for you. Could you elaborate on that sentiment?
Sure. As I said earlier, my work with Parvanov was a big compromise for me. Not only did it cause some friction within my own party, but I also had to deal with the hurt and disappointment of many of my supporters who couldn’t understand why I was associated with a President whose policies they opposed.
