Saltillo, Coah.- The Diocese of Saltillo invites the parishioners to join the donation campaign of the Tithe 2024-2025, with the goal of exceeding the sum reached in the previous collection, in which 6 million 253 thousand pesos were raised.
The amount was distributed to cover works pastoral parishes, support the work of the vicarages, financial projects and run the same campaign.
Bishop Hilario González García appealed to the generosity of Catholics to participate in the campaign “Open the door to reconciliation. Generosity is in you!”
With the convocation Bull “Spes non confundit” (Hope does not disappoint), he exhorts us to be compassionate and generous with a sense of brotherhood and community.
“ Encouraged, then, by the words of the Holy Father, who invites us not to lose hope and following the objective of the Pastoral Plan, I invite you to participate in the 2024-2025 tithing campaign, which begins this Sunday and will continue for part of 2025.”
“ The tithe is an annual offering equivalent to at least one day’s salary for those who receive a salary, or one day’s income for those who are self-employed or otherwise paid. It is part of the commitment of children of God to their church, an offering of gratitude to God for the goods received, which are shared out of love for their church and is a sign of responsibility with the diocesan family, with which they do cooperate so that their pastoral activity can be sustained.”
The donation will support the care of the health of prieststhe diocesan commissions and communities of the Diocese will be supported, among other activities.
