An impressive queue runs along Boulevard Victor-Hugo in Nice, this Saturday, November 16. Which singer, which influencer keeps these hundreds of people waiting in front of the chic Boscolo hotel? They came for a book signing, that of Jordan Bardella, the president of the National Rally.
“You don’t realize how happy it is! We are here and we will wait until the end,” confides an admirer. “I’m waiting to see Jordan Bardella, because he’s a man who has a lot of ideas. I think he has a great future,” underlines another.
Outside of the electoral campaign, the dedication is nevertheless not without political stakes. “We know that the political situation is unstable and that the government will not necessarily last very long, so the risk of returning to the polls is realconfides Jordan Bardella between two signings. And we think about municipal elections in the long term. We are here in a city where I achieved 30% in the last European elections, so we have hopes for the municipal elections.”
With these words Eric Ciotti enters the scene. “For Éric, the future mayor of Nice” scribbles the author on the book handed out by the deputy for Alpes-Maritimes, allied with the RN in the last legislative elections. “We will talk about the municipal elections again, but I am in any case very happy with the dedication of Jordan Bardella, underlines Éric Ciotti, hilarious. I see it as an invitation that I will think about with great interest.“
The requisitions against Marine Le Pen at the trial of the RN parliamentary assistants were on everyone’s mind. But for the moment, activists want to remain positive and see her as President of the Republic in 2027… And Jordan Bardella in 2032.
