As is the usury income, the number of companies reported to the Bank of Italy is increasing: this is how things are going in Trento

TRENTO. Almost 118 thousand Italian companies are at risk of usury. After years when they were decreasing, compared to a year ago the total number of these groups has increased by more than 2,600 units. These are mainly tradesmen, merchants, traders or small entrepreneurs who have “slipped” into the bankruptcy area and, as a result, have been reported by financial intermediaries to Key Risks Bank of Italy. In fact, this “filing” prevents these businesses from receiving a new loan. This was reported by the CGIA Audit Office.

One in three businesses are at risk in the south.

Over the past year the situation has worsened considerably in Benevento, Chieti, Savona, Rieti and Lecce. At the regional level, the largest number of companies reported as infringed are located in large metropolitan areas. As of June 30, Rome was in first place with 10,827 companies: just after we found Milan with 6,834, Naples with 6,003, Turin with 4,605 and Florence with 2,433. Compared to the previous 12 months, in terms of percentage, the deterioration had a significant impact on Benevento with +17.3% of companies entrusted with bad loans (in a total value of +97). Followed by Chieti with +13.9% (+101), Savona with +12.4% (+62), Rieti with +11.8% (+25) and Lecce with +11.4% (+179). Trento ranks 54th in the rankings (+1.5%).

If we analyze the data according to the territorial distribution, we will understand that the South is the most “at risk” region: here there are 39,538 companies in difficulty (equivalent to 33.6% of the total) , followed by the North West with 29,471 companies (25% of the total), the Center with 29,027 (24.7% of the total) and finally the

Usury is “used” in the South, but the money is then reused in the North

If the South is the geographical area in Italy most at risk of usury, the money from these illegal activities is reinvested more and more in the North. Recently, in fact, studies carried out by the Directorate of Anti-Mafia Investigations show how money from major criminal activities, such as usury, is often reused in certain areas of Italy, especially northern Italy.

Many entrepreneurs are also broke because they are not paid

Those who end up on the blacklist of the Central Credit Register are unlikely to benefit from any economic support from the banking system, at risk, much more than others, of being closed or, more even worse, slipping into the arms of a shark.

To prevent this urgent issue from spreading, the CGIA continues to insist strongly on strengthening the resources available to the “Usury Prevention Fund”. The latter is a tool capable of providing the only legitimate assistance to those in this vulnerable situation. It is good to remember that entrepreneurs who are reported to the Bank of Italy’s Risk Center are not always the result of poor financial management of their company. In most cases, of course, this situation occurs after many small entrepreneurs are unable to collect payments from their clients regularly or because they “failed” ” in a bankruptcy involving the latter.
