The president of PaSoK effectively repelled the attack of the Minister of Health, which took place immediately after his initial position, in the plenary hall where the draft law on the personal doctor was discussed. At the same time, he launched an attack on the government and with his intervention it found a reason to develop the party’s positions on a series of issues that concern the everyday life of citizens.
However, the dispute with Adonis Georgiadis was intense. There were accusations from both sides and he recalled the times of the PASoK – ND bipartisanship, with Nikos Androulakis closing by declaring that “we invest in the Greek people and we invest in the popular verdict in the next national elections so that you become a thing of the past».
First consultation then consent
Earlier, in his initial statement, Nikos Androulakis analyzed the reasons he disagrees with the specific bill. In addition, it was made clear that PaSoK is not going to consent to the government’s proposals, if there is no prior consultation with the opposition.
«What did you want? Should we say “yes” to the collapse of the National Social Security System? What did you want? Should we say “yes” to the decline of institutions? In the reduction of the purchasing power of the Greek people? In the giantization of accuracy? Not at all thunderous in all that undermines the hopes and perspective of the Greek people for a better today, for a better tomorrow”. said Mr. Androulakis and underlined: “If you really want consensus on small or big issues, you must consult, you will not find “take it or leave it” or “a la carte consensus” in PASOK” he stated raising his voice. While in another part of his speech he defended the workers and asked the government to accept the amendment of the PASoK.
“If you were really interested in strengthening the Public Health System, then you would accept our amendment for the inclusion of the staff of the National Health System, the National Social Care System and the E.K.A.B. in the Regulation of Heavy and Unsanitary Occupations”, he pointed out, while explaining that it is about “amendment, which we have been the first to file many times, but you have rejected it as many times, keeping in the drawer the conclusion of the Behrakis Committee, which you assigned and which explicitly mentions the subordination of health workers to the heavy and unhealthy!» he pointed out characteristically.

During the debate, Nikos Androulakis saw the PASoK MPs in the seats looking at him and applauding him, thus showing that internal party elections are a thing of the past. A telling element of the unifying mood that exists in PaSoK, is the fact that today Nikos Androulakis sent an invitation from the president of the party to the MPs, in order for them all to have dinner together at a well-known restaurant in Goudi.
New campaign from Harilaou Trikoupi
