New Israeli airstrikes targeted a southern suburb of Beirut this morning after the Israeli army called on residents to evacuate, according to images shown by AFPTV.
Three strikes were reported in the area, with smoke billowing above the buildings each time.
Since Tuesday, Israel’s military has carried out several airstrikes against Beirut’s southern suburbs, which are considered strongholds of the Shiite Lebanese movement Hezbollah.

Shortly before today’s strikes, Avihai Andrai, the Arabic-speaking spokesman for the Israeli armed forces (IDF), issued a call on X for residents of the Haret Hareik neighborhood to leave, saying they are “close to Hezbollah infrastructure and interests.”
Lebanon’s ANI news agency confirmed that three “enemy” raids took place, including one near Haret Hareik. “The first strike against Haret Hareik destroyed buildings and caused serious damage,” he explained.
This southern Beirut suburb, considered one of Hezbollah’s strongholds, has been targeted by the Israeli army for weeks. Most of the residents have left it, but during the day some return to inspect their homes or shops.
Besides, on the night of Friday to Saturday and early today, there were Israeli strikes against areas of southern Lebanon, mainly in the province of Bid Jbeil, according to ANI.
For its part, Hezbollah claimed overnight responsibility for two rocket attacks against the Ramim camp, where the headquarters of the Israeli army’s infantry brigade is located, near the border between Lebanon and Israel.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said Israeli attacks killed 59 people and wounded 182 others across the country in the past 24 hours.
