The returned Double XP tokens have been removed from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Hopefully we can get them back.
Of the week Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players are still jumping for joy. All the Double XP tokens they collected in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and 3 suddenly appeared in Black Ops 6. Activision previously indicated that this would not happen and suddenly it did.
A moment later it looked like a dead sparrow. The tokens have disappeared again, at least from the Zombies and multiplayer modes of Black Ops 6. You can’t select them there right now. They can only be used in Call of Duty: Warzone.
That is not well received by the community. The internet is full of angry gamers. The protest has paid off, as developer Treyarch has announced that the tokens will be back after all.
According to the developer, the tokens were removed because they posed a threat to the stability of the game. The developer is now working on finding a way to add them. “We now understand the importance of players being able to use previously earned tokens. “
There is still a way to use them. You can activate the tokens in Warzone and then go back to multiplayer or Zombies. Then you still get those double XP points. Next week, Treyarch will reveal more about the return of tokens. All’s well that ends well. What a rollercoaster!
