Germany crushed Bosnia and Herzegovina 7-0 on Matchday 5 of the UEFA Nations League to secure top spot in Group 3 and advance to the Quarterfinals.
Julian Nagelsmann’s German team took victory at the Euro-Park Stadion to reach 13 points, five more than the Netherlands, which beat Hungary 4-0 one day before the end of the Group Stage.
Bosnia, for its part, suffered its fourth defeat and is at the bottom of the table with barely any unity. In their previous matchup, Germany suffered to win 1-2.
Before the match, the Bosnian team took advantage of their trip to Germany to visit the famous and renowned amusement park, Euopa-Park, which is located in Rust.
Even a photograph of the team on the roller coaster, in addition to other attractions, went viral on social media.
Germany opened the scoring in the 2nd minute with a header from Jamal Musiala and before the end of the first half Tim Kleindienst (23′) and Kai Havertz (37′) scored to go into the break with a comfortable 3-0 lead.
In the second half, Florian Wirtz scored a double in seven minutes (50′, 57′), including a spectacular goal from a free kick.
Leroy Sané got on the scoreboard in the 66th minute and Kleindienst sealed his double in the 79th minute.
The bad news for the German team is that Joshua Kimmich suffered discomfort in his left ankle and had to leave the field in the 71st minute for Robin Koch.
Germany will face Hungary on Tuesday, November 19 on the last day of the Group Stage before meeting its rival in the Quarterfinals of the UEFA Nations League.
