From cloudy Belarus to sunny California! Til Schweiger quickly changed continents and flew from Eastern Europe to his adopted home of the USA.
There he had a surprising reunion with his famous film colleague Nick Nolte and his daughter Sophie Lane!

Schweiger immediately informed his 435,000 Instagram followers about the meeting, posted a photo of himself with the Hollywood star and wrote: “A day with a legend.”
The two men beam at each other – they seem to have enjoyed the day together.
That was certainly balm for Schweiger’s soul, who had just been criticized for his filming in Minsk and his publicly expressed words of praise for the Republic of Belarus. After all, the ruler in Belarus is Alexander Lukashenko (70), a close friend of Putin who is responsible for Russia’s devastating war of aggression on Ukraine.

Schweiger’s film with Nick Nolte flopped at the time
Schweiger collaborates with Hollywood star Nick Nolte in their 2018 film, „Head Full of Honey“in which Nolte played a leading role.
After Schweiger’s much-celebrated hit film “Honey in the Head” (over 7 million viewers), in which Dieter Hallervorden (89) and Schweiger’s daughter Emma (22) played the main roles in 2014, the filmmaker dared to make a US remake.

But the US version of the dementia drama, for which Nolte brought his then 11-year-old daughter Sophie Lane Nolte (now 17) in front of the camera as his film granddaughter, flopped badly in 2018! In America, the film disappeared from cinemas after just a few days. This didn’t harm the Nolte-Nick friendship!

The fact that Til Schweiger is jetting around the world again surprises his fans. They had every reason to be worried about the filmmaker in the past few months. Schweiger had been struggling with health problems since April. The sepsis shock and hospital stay were followed by an “open leg”. The poor healing of his leg even meant that he was temporarily at risk of having his leg amputated. Luckily that didn’t happen.
And Til Schweiger seems to be fit (to travel) again!
