In recent days, a case has caused a stir on social networks, quickly becoming a trend.
Mexico.- A TikTok user, identified as Fernanda (fregandaaaa), reported that her partner, Jonathan Sotelo, with whom she had a two-year relationship, defrauded her of more than two million pesos ($98,000).
However, the most shocking thing was that, after investigating on her computer, Fernanda discovered that Sotelo had scammed or deceived 79 other women. These victims, contacted by him through online dating platforms such as Bumble, were on a list he found on his partner’s device.
Supposedly, Sotelo asked various women for money and thus managed to maintain a high lifestyle with many luxuries and even had a small plane. He also allegedly stole the credit and debit cards of the couples he ended up with. Another way was to make them take out loans for vehicles that only he drove and which they then ended up paying.
Upon further investigation, Fernanda discovered that Jonathan Sotelo, nicknamed online as the “Bumble Scammer,” had allegedly used various dating platforms to gain the trust of his victims, deceiving them with false promises of investment or business. Through this modus operandi, he managed to defraud a total of 79 women.
Fernanda, who shared her discovery through a viral video on Tik Tok, recounted how, after a series of suspicions, she discovered the scam that her partner had carried out during their relationship. The revelation of the list of scammed women quickly spread on various social networks, generating a wave of comments and reactions from users.
In Mexico there are platforms and groups where you can put your partner’s name to find out if they are engaged or married or in another relationship. Fernanda put Sotelo in and several girlfriends or women came out who reported having had a bad relationship with them.
