Heavy, metallic footsteps can be heard through the crowd. Over a hundred people crowd into the Eulachpassage of the ZHAW Technikumstrasse campus in Winterthur. There is whispering, showing and filming, all eyes are on the center of the circle: that’s where Unitree G1 is moving – for the first time in Switzerland. One by one, the visitors approach the humanoid robot, shake its hand and take selfies. “Can I pat his head?” someone asks. “Will he fall if I push him?”, someone else. And finally, plain and simple: “That’s so cool!” Most are ZHAW students and lecturers.
