After the withdrawal of Sarah Ourahmoune, the French Boxing Federation once again singled out by candidate Estelle Mossely

The campaign for the presidency of the French Boxing Federation continues to make waves.

Estelle Mossely, 2016 Olympic boxing champion and candidate for the presidency of the French Federation, denounced on social networks the invalidation of her opposition list, a few days after the withdrawal from the race of Sarah Ourahmoune, running mate of the management outgoing. “You won’t stop me!”writes Mossely in a letter dated November 15 and which she published on social networks Friday evening, after the Commission for the Monitoring of Electoral Operations (CSOE) of the FFB had decided “to invalidate the list of energy for boxing in France” which she had submitted.

“The commission declares this list invalid on the grounds that the candidate Mrs. Sidibe Mariam presents a “voluntary” participation document which confers no right to participate in the functioning of the FFB and which makes her ineligible”indicates the CSOE in its decision. But Mossely assures that this motivation is a “invention” which does not exist in the regulations of the FFB and whose sole purpose is to “harm” and the“prevent running for the presidency of the Federation”. “Far from being discouraged, I will file an appeal as soon as possible to have the decision of the electoral operations monitoring commission annulled”assures the ex-boxer. Mossely, 32, heads the only opposition list to the outgoing presidency of Dominique Nato.

The latter’s list was recently completed by the addition as co-president in the event of the election of 2016 Olympic vice-champion Sarah Ourahmoune, 42 years old. But, vice-president of the FFB since 2021, the latter threw in the towel on November 11 following “racist and sexist attacks” of which she was the victim. Nato continues his campaign. The vote is scheduled for December 14.
