Deputy Minister Yanchev noted that this result is due to the good production practices and efforts made by the farmers, the accumulated experience, the established traditions, the achievements of agricultural science and the unique natural conditions in the country.

Deputy Minister Yanchev recalled that the team of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food took key steps in relation to the agricultural sector to restore and develop irrigation and expand hail protection. “These efforts will continue because it is important to have modern and competitive agricultural production,” he said.

When asked about the indicative schedule for payments to producers, he said that it is important for the sector to have predictability and that support is paid out when farmers need it most.
