The residents of Roberval located below the A1 motorway viaduct were woken up early this Saturday, November 16 around 8 a.m. as emergency services responded in large numbers to a traffic accident.
The accident occurred in the Lille – Paris direction and required the closure of part of the highway. Traffic was diverted upstream and downstream of the town.
Following the accident involving several vehicles, one of the light vehicles caught fire. The intervention was quick, but there was a need to divert traffic outside the motorway network. It is therefore via Pont-Sainte-Maxence that the load shedding route was put in place. Heavy goods vehicles were invited to pass through Creil and the RD 1016 so as not to overly congest the RD 1017 and the crossing of Pont-Sainte-Maxence complicated by the bottleneck of the bridge spanning the Oise.
Traffic, although on weekends, is particularly dense in the Verberie, Pontpoint, Roberval, Pont-Sainte-Maxence sector and, to a lesser extent, on the RD 1016 and the Creil Villers-Saint-Paul area.
The intervention is still on at the end of the morning.
Sanef confirms the closure of traffic in the Lille – Paris direction. The intervention of specific technical services is major since the vehicle fire occurred on the traffic lane, potentially weakening the traffic lane.
