The information event “Multiple Sclerosis: new perspectives of research in the therapeutic and rehabilitation field”, organized by the Italian Multiple Sclerosis Association (Aism) of Ravenna, will be held on Saturday 23 November at 9.30 am at the Cube hotel in Ravenna. It will be an opportunity to take stock of pathology and the most recent developments in the scientific field.
Speakers of the day will be Roberto Furlan, vice president of the International Society of Neuroimmunology and director of the San Raffaele Experimental Neurology Institute in Milan, Giampaolo Brichetto, medical director of the Aism Liguria Rehabilitation Service and Mariagrazia Piscaglia, director of the Neurology unit of Ravenna, Faenza and Lugo, clinical contact person and coordinator of the diagnostic therapeutic care paths on multiple sclerosis of the Romagna Local Health Authority. Moderator of the meeting was Luisa Motti, provincial president of the Aism Section of Reggio Emilia.
With them, we will talk about updates on scientific research on multiple sclerosis, news in the field of rehabilitation and the role that rehabilitation therapies play in improving patients’ quality of life. Piscaglia will then bring the experience of the Ravenna center, which since February 2023 has obtained recognition as a simple corporate structure for multiple sclerosis and neurodegenerative diseases.
