All eyes on the oldest European Cup race currently on the international circuit: the 41st edition of the Obereggen men’s slalom scheduled for Monday 16 December on the Maierl slope (maximum gradient up to 55%). The European Cup in Obereggen will constitute, as usual, a prelude to the traditional World Cup slalom in Italy, this year the slalom in Alta Badia on 23 December. In the 2023 edition, the Swiss Schmidiger won the Obereggen slalom, the French Amiez second, the Austrian Rueland third. The match report will be broadcast on the same evening of Monday 16 December by the Rai Sport channel (number 48 on the remote control).
Obereggen (20 minutes from Bolzano), one of the hearts of the Latemar area (with its Trentino sisters Pampeago and Predazzo), will be the first of the 12 valleys of the international Dolomiti Superski ski carousel to open the first facilities since the creation of Dolomiti Superski. In homage to him and to the prestigious anniversary, Obereggen will open the turnstiles on Friday 29 November both at 8.30 am and at night with the first night skiing at 7 pm and a final party at the Apres Ski Loox downstream of the historic Oberholz slope. The Obereggen ski pass office for the presale of the Val di Fiemme-Obereggen and Dolomiti Superski Family seasonal ski passes is open from 15 November with a special promotion for junior skiers, raising the age to take advantage of the special ski pass from 16 to 18 years. This is a ski pass that provides a 30% discount on the price of daily and multi-day ski passes. From Saturday 30 November 2024 at 8.30 am the lifts and slopes of Obereggen, Pampeago and Predazzo and their connections are scheduled to open.
