The Final Tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals of the ATP is taking place in Turin, Italy. Finals, reports Schrödinger Sports. Based on the results of Friday’s matches, all semi-finalists were determined.
In the opening game of the final round in Group B, Alexander Zverev beat Carlos Alcaraz – 7:6, 6:4. For the Spaniard, this defeat was the second, but he retained his chances for the playoffs and depended on the result of the game between Andrei Rublev and Casper Ruud.
Unfortunately for Alcaraz, he did not get the desired result in the evening session. Andrey Rublev lost the third match in a row, losing to Ruud in three games – 4:6, 7:5, 2:6. The Norwegian, by winning the personal match, beat Alcaraz and became the fourth semi-finalist of the tournament, joining Zverev, as well as Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz.
The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday.
