“Scary attempt”… firing at the security forces check point!

The Mount Lebanon Future Movement Coordination Committee issued a strong statement regarding the attack on the Internal Security Forces checkpoint in the Wadi al-Zeina area yesterday afternoon.

The statement confirmed that this armed attack by suspected parties is aimed at disrupting security and sow discord in the region, calling on the security and judicial agencies to move quickly to arrest the perpetrators and hold them accountable.

According to the statement, the security checkpoint in Wadi al-Zeina, belonging to the Internal Security Forces, came under fire from unknown parties yesterday afternoon, Friday, in an attempt destabilize the region.

This attack comes at a time when Lebanon is witnessing security tensions due to difficult economic and political conditions, which contribute to increasing fears of attempts to lighten the security situation.

In this context, the future movement emphasized its strong condemnation of this sharp attack, considering it as a clear and determined attempt aimed at weakening the legitimate institutions of Lebanon and members of the Internal Security Forces that ensure the security of citizens according to the current conditions.

The party expressed its confidence that the security and judicial services will work quickly to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice, so that this incident will serve as an example to those who believe that an attack is possible. force the state and its institutions.

The statement said: “We in the future movement reaffirm our full support to the Internal Security Forces and all security and military services in their mission to protect Lebanon and its people from conflict and plans that seek to destabilize the country.”

The statement also emphasized the need for the political forces and Lebanon in general to respond through unity and cooperation in opposing these terrorist activities that threaten civil peace in Lebanon.

The future movement believed that any attempt to sow discord in the region or embolden the army and internal security forces could only lead to more tension and destruction.

This incident comes within the context of ongoing security tensions in Lebanon, as the internal security forces in many areas are exposed to attempts and threatening attacks aimed at their reputation as a result of the difficult security conditions in the country.
