Mijas collects more than 100,000 kilos of essential products for those affected by DANA

Mijas, November 15, 2024.- Since last October 31, the City Council of Mijasthrough the Civil Protection area, has collected more than 100,000 kilos of essential products intended to help those affected by DANA.
This is the balance that can be made of the collection of products that has been carried out in the municipality, which has been so followed that it was necessary to create space in the old fire hall to coordinate the donations. At the moment, the collection remains paralyzed.
In these days of solidarity collection, everything from water to drugstore items have been gathered, specifically 30 pallets of food, 21 of water, 20 of cleaning, two of diapers for adults and children, one of animal food, two of hygiene products and two others about tools, among others.
There have been many citizens involved, joined by associations and groups, volunteers, companies and transporters who have shown their willingness to collaborate in everything necessary to support those affected by DANA. The mayor, Ana Mata, wanted to thank the good disposition and solidarity of the people of Mije “who have been fully involved.”
