Théo Barré has set a new world record in team skydiving by joining 150 other people who jumped from 7 different planes at the same time
The young French paratrooper Théo Barré has recently made headlines internationally, conquering a new world record in team skydiving in the United States. Originally from Saint-Florentin, Yonne, the 22-year-old joined another 150 paratroopers for an impressive feat in the Arizona sky that took place last November 6th.
Coordinated in a breathtaking choreography, the paratroopers are launched simultaneously from seven different aircraftto then join in flight and form established figures, all without direct contact at the moment of the jump, a characteristic that makes this discipline, known as relative flightparticularly complex and spectacular.
Barré has been passionate about flying and parachuting since he was very young already holder of the French team throwing record. In Arizona he faced a notable physical and mental challenge: at 5,500 meters above sea level, with a reduced oxygen level, it is essential to maintain control over breathing so as not to tire during the jump. This made the preparation even more intensewith Barré and his companions perfecting every movement to ensure the success of the undertaking.
All paratroopers had to respect the agreed figures
The organization of this world event required absolute precision. Each paratrooper carried out his role with extreme care, because even just one person was enough did not respect the expected position to fail the record attempt.
After the jump, a judge has analyzed the video images to verify that all 151 paratroopers actually had respected the agreed figures. Only then were Barré and his team able to celebrate their success.
