Hidalgo Sport.- The Hidalguense Sports Institute (InHiDe) to the State Sports Associations, in coordination with the SEPH calls on sports associations, Sports Promoting Institutions, both public and private to present their proposals for the 2024 Sports Merit Award, called Adriana Ángeles Lozada.

Candidates must be submitted no later than November 22, 2024, until 12:00 p.m., at the INHIDE facilities, for which a qualifying jury will be formed, chaired by the director of InHiDe, Oscar Pérez Rojas, who will decide. to the winners, based on the sporting achievements achieved during the year.

The Sports Merit Award is named after Adriana Ángeles Lozada, a former judoka from Hidalgo, who made history as the first Mexican woman to participate in judo at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, where she reached the quarterfinals in the – category. 48 kilograms.

Throughout his career, he also achieved great international achievements, such as the silver medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games Maracaibo 1998, in the -52 kilogram category, and the bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg 1999, in the division of -48 kilograms.

Adriana left an indelible mark on Mexican judo and continues to be a reference for new generations of athletes, a symbol of effort, dedication and improvement.
